Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of layoffleads.com ("LayoffLeads", "we"). By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

What we provide

LayoffLeads is a database of company layoff information compiled from public WARN Act notices and published news reports. The free plan lets you search recent data. The paid Pro plan adds full history, unlimited results, CSV exports and email alerts, delivered as described on the pricing page.

Accuracy

We compile data from third-party public sources and process it automatically. It may contain errors, omissions or delays, and the original notice or article is the authoritative record. The site is provided "as is", for information only. It is not legal, financial, employment or investment advice. Check the linked source before you rely on a record.

Acceptable use

  • Use the data for your own business research, recruiting and sales prospecting.
  • Do not resell, republish or redistribute Pro exports as a competing dataset.
  • Do not scrape the site at a rate that degrades it for others, or try to get around the free-plan limits.
  • Do not use the data to harass, discriminate against or contact individuals in violation of law. The site lists companies, not people.

Subscriptions and billing

Pro is a subscription billed monthly ($49 / month) or yearly ($490 / year) in USD through Stripe. It renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from the billing portal linked in your receipt or by emailing hello@layoffleads.com. Cancelling stops the next renewal, and you keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for. If we change the price, we will email subscribers at least 30 days before the new price applies. Charges appear on statements as LAYOFFLEADS. Refunds are covered by our refund policy.

Intellectual property

WARN notices are public records, and news articles belong to their publishers; we link to them and do not claim ownership. The site's design, code, compilation, normalization and company pages are ours. WARN data is redistributed from Big Local News under the Apache License 2.0.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the site or the data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
